The Lagoon

The Lagoon, known as Los Micos Lagoon, is ten kilometers long with a surface of twenty square kilometers. The variety and large population of fish found in the lagoon is heaven for the casual fisherman and a treasure to the fisherman that make their living from their daily catch. With its 350 different bird species, it is the perfect place for amateur or professional bird watching. The lagoon is framed with exuberant mangrove trees which serves as a wild life sanctuary for monkeys, reptiles, fish, and birds.
